I often wonder why I can’t stand to listen to music when I’m reading, writing or studying… I find music a distraction… but when I’m coding that’s a different story… stick an earphone in me and I can spew code like a run away pasta machine… weird…

I can have people talking and the tv on while I’m doing all these things and not lose a beat with what I’m doing. But with music its a different thing… it’s something I have a hard time phasing out.

Great article here on what approach one should use when coding in PHP.

I myself prefer Procedural Programming in PHP because of the speed benefits, but I do Object Oriented Programming (OOP) once in a while for the very purpose of being able to put it on my resume *snicker*

I have to point out that the learning curve in learning OOP is quite steep compared to learning Procedural Programming, they have entire books written on just that topic. You’ll need considerable aptitude in abstract thinking in order to understand OOP. But yeah, everything can be acquired given time and hard work.

Last Sunday in Church there was this group of foreign teenagers in the choir section and the two priests that were with them co-celebrated the Mass with our foreigner priest. I initially thought that since its summer season for them they were probably out on a Catholic tour. Our priest kept saying that they were from Australia yet I wondered why they hardly spoke a world of English.

When one of the priests read the Gospel he had a very thick accent that I could hardly understand what chapter and verse he was reading. So I got to thinking that he must be a foreign priest in Australia.
